Insurance coverage for hearing aids varies greatly from one plan to another. Our competent staff is able to help you sort through the “insurance maze” to help you receive maximum reimbursement from your insurance plan. We bill the following third-party payors:

Blue Cross/Blue Shield (hearing aid
program only)
Capp Care
Children’s Special Health Care Services
Community Choice
Great Lakes
Health Plan of Michigan
Medicare (initial hearing test only with
physician referral)
Medicaid

Medicare never covers hearing aids, but area retiree plans for Pfizer, State of Michigan,
Michigan Public Schools, and UAW have coverage for hearing aids and related services.
Most plans will allow new hearing aids every 3 years but some are more frequent.
Medicaid currently covers hearing aids, but that can change from year to year. Some
individuals are covered before they retire (Pfizer and MESSA) depending on their
specific insurance plan.
