Cindy Beachler was a founding partner of Hearing Services & Systems in 1989. We worked together for nearly 20 years to establish and grow our practice. We shared the goal of providing the highest quality services in the most caring environment possible. Cindy fought with cancer for the last 1 ½ years. She received extensive treatment throughout but lost the battle on September 30th. She left behind her loving husband of 30 years, Marshall, and 2 sons, Zachary a college student and Lucas a high school senior, her mother, brothers and extended family. She is missed by her coworkers, an extensive network of friends and many of the patients she was so dedicated to helping. Although we both saw patients in the office, Cindy’s special interest involved taking audiological services into the community. She provided care at several retirement communities, assisted living and nursing care facilities. Through her efforts many elderly patients returned to the “hearing world.” Upgrading her credentials was important to Cindy. As a young audiologist, the profession required a masters degree to practice. This standard was eventually changed so that all new audiologists must have a doctorate. Although not required, Cindy completed the Doctor of Audiology program through the University of Florida in 2004. Cindy was very involved in community service. She was active in the Quota Club, a service organization with interest in helping those with hearing impairment. One of her passions was the performing arts program at Portage Central High School. She gave countless hours of her time to this excellent theatre program. Anyone who would like to leave a memorial donation in Cindy’s name can contribute to: PC Performing Arts, Portage Central High School, 8135 S. Westnedge Avenue,
